Applying to Mission Bay School
Mission Bay School is a public SFUSD school. Admission is handled entirely through the district's enrollment process — not by the school directly. Below is how the process works and how to apply.
For the 2026-27 school year, Mission Bay School opens with Pre-Kindergarten, Transitional Kindergarten, and Kindergarten (plus a combined TK-K Special Education class) — growing a grade each year to a full TK-5 school by 2032.
Two Ways to Apply
TK & Kindergarten
Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten families apply through the SFUSD Enrollment Center. Mission Bay shares an attendance area with Daniel Webster Elementary, so families in that area (Embarcadero, SoMa, Potrero Hill, Dogpatch, and Mission Bay) get an attendance-area tiebreaker to both schools.
